Call for Papers
We are cordially inviting you to submit a paper to BWSS 2014. The topics of interest are (not exclusively):
- theoretical foundations of social simulation
- methods and models for social simulation
- AI and MAS tools, techniques, models and environments for social simulation
- applications of social simulation (in research anthropology, sociology, political science, economy, government, management, education, health, emergency services, policy making, financial risk management, natural disaster management, national security, armed conflict etc.)
Informal Presentations:
We are cordially inviting researchers/students attending WCSS 2014 in São Paulo to submit abstracts for the "BWSS 2014 Informal Presentations" (current research, work in progress, student's work, ideas for discussion, research proposals, etc.). After the conference, there will be a call for papers of the "BWSS 2014 Informal Presentations" to be included in the BWSS 2014 Post-Proceedings, which will be published by the Conference Publishing Services of IEEE Computer Society (pending approval). The abstracts of an informal presentation should be be written in English, with at least 150 words, and submitted in PDF format, until October 28th, 2014.
Important dates:
- Deadline for paper submission: September 28, 2014 October 6, 2014
- Notification to authors: October 13, 2014
- Camera-ready copies of papers: October 27, 2014
- Deadline for author registration: October 27, 2014
- Deadline for abstracts of Informal Presentations: October 28, 2014
- Workshop date: 4 November, 2014
Paper format:
Papers should be written in English, with at most 6 pages, and submitted in PDF format, following the IEEE style, available at BWSS 2014 Web Site.
Post-Proceedings:
The papers accepted for the workshop will be published by the Conference Publishing Services of IEEE Computer Society (pending approval), after the workshop. At least one author of any accepted paper should be registered at the main conference WCSS 2014 in order to have the paper included in the proceedings. At least one author of any accepted paper should attend the workshop.
Best Paper:
Extended versions of the two best papers presented at the workshop, selected by the Program Committee, will be invited to be submitted for the JBCS - Journal of the Brazilian Computer Society - http://www.sbc.org.br/index.php?language=2&subject=309
